Lotte van Drunen of the Beursfoon KTM team won both heats of the Open Dutch Championship 65cc event at Hellendoorn.

Lotte started of well, posting the pole time with a gap of more than one and a half seconds over second. In the joint times of 65cc and 85cc riders she was second.

Lotte started the first race in fifth position. She quickly made a few passes, including on 85cc bikes. A clever line choice allowed here to move into the lead, and she was never challenged again.

After checking out the track between races, as the track had become very heavy. She immediately slotted in behind the leader of her class. A few corners in, she took her chance and moved into the lead. She opened up a gap and won comfortably.

Lotte won the overall and added handsomely to her championship tally. The series continues next weekend at Westerbork.
