Lotte van Druenen of the Beursfoon KTM team scored a resounding victory at the Open Dutch Championship 65cc round at Den Dungen on Saturday. She won the first heat convincingly, but hatd fierce competition in the second, only managing to clinch the victory at the very end. She has increased her championship lead substantially as a result.

Lotte was in good form straight away and posted the fastest qualifying lap in her very first lap. That lap was never bettered, and she was the first rider to pick a gate for the races, After a good start in the first race, she quickly found herself in second position. She wasted no time in getting into the lead. She built up a 12 second gap, but lost most of that with a late race crash. After remounting, she opened up a gap again and won comfortably.

In race two, the rapid lady slotted into fourth position off the start. She quickly moved into third, but had trouble passing for second. By the time she had done so, the leader was far gone. After closing the gap, she was involved in a fierce tussle for the lead, eventually prevailing and taking another race win.

With another overall victory in hand, Lotte is now leading the championship series by an even more convincing margin.
